Requesting Non-Emergency Transportation

General Information:

The Morris Minute Men are happy to attempt to accommodate requests for non-emergent transportation for the citizens of the communities we serve. We do, however, ask that you please be patient as we must meet our emergency responsibilities and sometimes manpower will not allow us to meet every request.

 

Guidelines:

• We can only accept requests from persons whose physical address is either in Morris Township or Morris Plains, New Jersey. Please be aware that there are many Parsippany and Hanover residences which have Morris Plains mailing addresses. Please contact these towns for further information if you reside there.
• We provide transportation home from the hospital for residents who are unable to walk. At this time we are unable to provide transportation to/from physician offices. Due to manpower constraints, we can only accommodate requests for transportation between the hours of 6:30pm to 9pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm on weekends.
• If manpower will allow, we are sometimes also able to provide transportation to out-of-state medical facilities such as Sloan Kettering.
• Please attempt to schedule transportation requests as far in advance as possible (at least 24 hours.)
• While we charge no fees for this service, donations are gratefully accepted to help defray expenses.
• Our primary responsibility is to provide emergency medical services for our towns. If an emergency arises we may be forced to delay your transportation without prior notice.
