Proudly Serving Morris Township and Morris Plains Since 1941

Standby Guidelines

  • Please attempt to schedule transportation requests as far in advance as possible (at least 24 hours.)

  • While we charge no fees for this service, we are grateful for any donations to help support our Organization.

Our primary responsibility is to provide emergency medical services for our towns. If an emergency arises we may be forced to delay your transportation without prior notice.

  • We can only accept requests from persons whose physical address is either in Morris Plains or Morris Township, New Jersey.

  • We provide transportation home from the hospital for residents who are unable to walk. At this time we are unable to provide transportation to/from physician offices. Due to manpower constraints, we can only accommodate requests for transportation between the hours of 6:30pm to 9pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm on weekends.

  • We typically only accept requests for events which take place in Morris Plains or Morris Township, New Jersey.
At the request of another emergency response organization we may occasionally assist in providing manpower and equipment in another jurisdiction.

  • If an emergency should arise elsewhere while we are covering your event, we may be forced to leave your event to respond. We will return to your event as soon as possible.

  • While we charge no fees for this service, we are grateful for any donations to help support our Organization.

Non-Emergency Transportation Services

Standby Services

The Morris Minute Men do our best to accommodate requests to provide emergency personnel and equipment to stand-by at events or for non-emergency transportation for the citizens of the communities we serve.  Please recognize that our primary responsibility is to provide emergency response services to our community and that manpower constraints may prevent us from honoring all requests. Please read over our guidelines and contact us via email at captain@morrisminutemen.org or call us at 973-539-1776 to request a stand-by or non-emergency transportation.

Donations make it possible for the Morris Minute Men to continue providing competent, confident care to you, your family or your neighbor without charge.
